Bird Journals: Birds and Their Surroundings, Simplified with Jude Siegel

Join Jude to learn to paint birds and their surroundings! Leaving out most of the details, we will learn ways to create a feeling of the place, as well as the essence of the birds. Simple exercises will promote relaxation, trust in the process of training our eye/hand to see, and get out of the perfection trap. We’ll practice the art of drawing and simple watercolor.

In-Person Class Details

Fee: $55 members / $75 non-members per session

Where: This class will be held upstairs in Heron Hall at Bird Alliance of Oregon, 5151 NW Cornell Road, Portland, OR 97210 unless otherwise noted.

When: Saturday, May 24, 2025, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Supply List: Please bring supplies in a pack you can carry easily. Read carefully before you go to the store and contact Jude (colorfuljude@gmail.com) with questions.

Bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle.
