DESCRIPTION:« All Events\n 				\n				\n				\n				\n					This event has passed. \n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	Virtual Black Oystercatcher Community Science Training – April 30\, 2025				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n		\n			April 30\n\n	\n\n	  @  \n\n\n6:30 pm\n\n		\n\n\n\n	\n	  -  \n\n8:00 pm\n\n\n\n	\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\nfree 				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	\n				\n				\n				\n				\n									Black Oystercatchers are a striking and easily recognizable bird with whom we share our coast. Because of their small global population size\, low reproductive rate\, and reliance on rocky intertidal habitats\, they are considered a “species of high conservation concern” and act as an indicator of intertidal ecosystem health. Our community science work with this coastal bird is aiding our efforts to protect rocky shoreline habitats. Learn more about the Oregon Black Oystercatcher Project. \nJoin this training to help us monitor Black Oystercatchers along the Oregon coast or simply to learn more about this charismatic shorebird.
