DESCRIPTION:Mt. Tabor is one of the most popular birding locations in the Portland Metro area and is a hotspot for migrant birds in spring. The mornings will include birdsong from our resident forest birds and colorful visitors like the Western Tanager and many warblers. \nYou can expect a large crowd of enthusiastic birders every week. If you are a newer birder we recommend joining the Wednesday evening Mt. Tabor bird song walk. \n*Please note: this walk often ends after 9 a.m. You are free to go at anytime. \nJoin us on Wednesdays\nApril 15th\nApril 22nd\nApril 29th\nMay 6th\nMay 13th\nMay 20th\nMay 27th \nRSVP \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\nDistance: Up to 3 miles\nElevation: 300 ft. (up & down)\nTrail Tread and Width: Mostly paved road\, paved trail\, single track packed dirt/gravel\, some steep stairs.\nPacing: Slow with frequent stops\nAmenities: Two restrooms on site. Street parking available on SE park Dr. and nearby neighborhood.\nPublic Transportation: Tri-met #15 to 69th and Yamhill (.25 miles)\nMeeting Location: Meet at the closed gate on SE Park Drive. This street leads up the the Visitor’s Center building and parking lot but is closed on Wednesdays to traffic. Use this pin for the correct meeting location. GPS directions to Mt. Tabor park will be incorrect.

Our Educated Guess host will ask questions about science facts\, current events\, pop culture\, and scientific discovery in this multi-round\, interactive game. Grab some friends and build a team of up to 4 people. Prizes are awarded to the top three scoring teams\, so get your team together and test your knowledge! \n\n\n\n\nIn honor of Earth Day\, and in partnership with the Oregon Kelp Alliance\, this month’s theme will focus on underwater biomes dominated by kelp and seaweed\, the various organisms that live there\, and how they are important to modern human society. Will you pass the multiple choice round? Maybe the short answer section? Join us to find out! \n\n\n\n\nEducated Guess runs from 6:30 – 8:30 pm\, doors open at 6 pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
