This event is open to all community members\, although recommended for those 16 and older. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nForest bathing is a nature connection experience inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. This intentional practice of embodied presence cultivates access to powerful experiences of curiosity\, awe\, and wonder thatare essential for resilient engagement with this era of dramatic change and transformation. \nGetting There: When you turn onto Kelley Point Park Rd\, follow the road until you reach the final parking lot – our group will be in this area. Free parking is available. Taking public transportation? Bus #11 drops riders at N Columbia Blvd & N Kelley Point Park Rd. That curiosity proved insatiable\, and now\, 12 years later\, she has become an expert taxonomist and aspires to learn the name of every mushroom she encounters\, and delights in teaching others. Leah has special interests in taxonomy\, uncommonly known edibles\, mycoheterotrophic plants\, slime molds\, ascomycetes (cup fungi) and social justice.
