Join Bird Alliance of Oregon in April and May for free Bird Song Walks!
Bird songs signal the coming of spring. Their sounds are ones of hopefulness, wonder, and curiosity. For decades, Bird Alliance of Oregon has marked the spring season with weekly Bird Song Outings.
Join us for birding in community on these free, guided outings through the Portland Metro area’s songbird habitats. Every location will have a weekly repeating walk to highlight the progression of spring migration. Each week we will become familiar with the sights and sounds of our resident birds, winter stragglers, and some early migrants. As spring progresses, more migrant birds will come to greet us with their new and unfamiliar sounds. Birders will develop the skills and wonder of birding by ear week by week.
